My Coaching Philosophy

Coaching isn’t just a career for me; it’s more like a calling I couldn’t avoid if I tried. I’m not in this for the financial rewards or recognition. There’s just something deep inside that tells me this is what I’m meant to do—like I never really had a choice in the matter.

And here’s the deal: your success as my client? It’s not a reflection of my worth - it’s not about me. Our time together is a shared adventure, but you’re the one driving the journey. The transformation you go through depends entirely on your readiness, your willingness, and how much trust you’re willing to put into this partnership.

A few years ago, I had one of those life-shifting moments while being coached myself. It felt like I stepped into a whole new universe. I was so grateful, I told my coach I wished I’d found this wisdom seven years earlier, back when I was at my lowest. With a knowing smile, he gently reminded me that I wouldn’t have been ready for it back then. The understanding hit home only because I was ready at that moment. Seven years ago? I probably wouldn’t have even looked for him. He was just the facilitator—I’d done the work to get myself to that point of enlightenment.

That’s exactly the philosophy I carry with me as a coach. Like my mentor Michael Neill says, our job is to show up and respond to what shows up. It’s about being present, allowing the insights to bubble up naturally in our conversations, and trusting the process.

The real joy for me is watching you uncover your own truths—those 'aha' moments that come out of nowhere but feel so right. Think of me not just as a coach but as the spark that helps you light the fire of your own understanding.

Along the way, we’ll laugh, maybe shed a tear or two, but we’ll be moving towards your breakthroughs. And if I’m doing my job right, you’ll eventually reach a place where you no longer need me. That’s when I’ll step back, with a smile, knowing my job is done.

I may just coach myself out of a job, but honestly, that’s the kind of “terrible business plan” I'm wholeheartedly committed to… 😊

My professional life

Like many, I’ve had my fair share of struggles navigating the ups and downs of my career. Along the way, I’ve also had the privilege of helping others work through theirs. My journey has been deeply shaped by both personal and professional challenges, and this experience informs everything I do.

Insights from being a Corporate Executive and Headhunter

I know firsthand what it’s like to navigate the complexities of large corporations. In one particularly demanding leadership role, I lost 5kg in just six months—no small feat for someone already naturally skinny! Balancing the weight of high-stakes decisions, corporate politics, and professional demands with the need for a fulfilling personal life is no easy task. The constant juggling act can take a toll on both body and mind. Having walked that path, I deeply understand the challenges my clients face.

Later, during my time as a headhunter in my own firm, I worked closely with professional candidates as a trusted sounding board, helping them navigate career transitions, switch industries, relocate internationally, and manage the stress of change. In turn, I also learned from them—their strategies for climbing the corporate ladder, pivoting careers, and handling the day-to-day demands of professional life. It was a shared journey of growth and insight, both for them and for me.

Building Businesses from the Inside Out

As the co-founder of an executive search firm, I’ve spent years working with companies—from massive corporations with tens of thousands of employees to small startups with just a few people—finding the right talent to move their businesses forward. Beyond recruitment, I partnered with business owners to shape workforce strategies, align technical requirements, and refine their overall operations.

Running a business is far more than managing people; it’s about solving problems, optimizing services, and continuously adapting to market demands. As a business owner, I understand the weight of responsibility. I’ve been there, refining marketing strategies, fine-tuning offerings, and making sure that everything—from operations to messaging—fits together in a way that truly serves clients' needs. I know what it takes to build and grow a business from the inside out, making sure everything runs smoothly and moves in the right direction.

My work led me to be featured in newspaper and publications and invited to speak in conferences.

Finding Meaning and Connection

My career path hasn’t been linear, and that’s what gives me the ability to relate to clients at various stages of their journeys. I’ve worked across multiple industries, taken on diverse roles, and learned that each step contributes to personal and professional growth in unexpected ways.

From teaching Public Relations, Event Management, and communication skills at the Police Academy and Educational Institutes to leading special events at a luxury casino resort with multi-million-dollar budgets, I’ve accumulated a wealth of experience. These roles have helped me understand how people think, work, and grow in a variety of environments.

One of the most fulfilling projects I led was a storytelling program, designed to connect a workforce of 7,700 employees through shared narratives. This was not just about crafting stories—it was about building a culture where people felt seen and heard in a large organization. Watching leaders connect with frontline staff through storytelling reaffirmed my belief in the power of authentic communication and the importance of human connection.

Learning from Mentors and Experiences

Throughout my career, I’ve been fortunate to have mentors who taught me the importance of leading with heart, strategic thinking, building alliances, and thriving in complex cultural environments. These mentors helped me see the power of personal connections built on trust, not hierarchy.

My late husband—who was the first CEO to build Macau Airport Management company from the ground up—was one of my greatest mentors. His role was incredibly complex and demanding, beginning a year before the airport even opened. In a city without aviation professionals, he had to build the organization from scratch while navigating the political intricacies of Macau’s transition from Portuguese to Chinese administration. Beyond managing the company that is in charge of Air Traffic control and aeronautical operations, he also served as Airport Director, overseeing everything from passenger and cargo handling to security, aircraft catering, and the commercial activities of food outlets and duty-free shops.

As a Portuguese national leading in a Chinese cultural environment, he also had to bridge cultural differences, working with staff members from over six countries.

His insights gave me a front-row view of the immense challenges leaders face—from high-level negotiations to fostering team dynamics—providing me with a deep understanding of the struggles my clients encounter today. I don’t just listen; I offer thoughtful perspective to help them regain balance and find clarity amidst the chaos.

My training as a coach

My formal coaching journey began when I enrolled in an intensive coaching program led by Michael Neill, a world-renowned coach consistently ranked among the top 30 coaching thought leaders, alongside legends like Jack Canfield and Tony Robbins.

I also completed a five-month training to become a "Teacher of Presence" through Eckhart Tolle's School of Awakening. Eckhart Tolle, a widely recognized spiritual teacher, is best known for his transformative works, “The Power of Now” and “A New Earth”, which focus on mindfulness, presence, and the transcendence of the ego.

However, my grounding as a coach goes far beyond traditional training. The loss of my husband was a turning point that “forced” me onto a profound spiritual journey. I found solace and guidance in the teachings of extraordinary thinkers from both Eastern and Western traditions. These teachings helped me navigate the depths of grief and gave me a deeper sense of life’s interconnectedness and purpose.

Over the years, the many retreats I’ve attended across Macau, China, Portugal, Costa Rica, the Netherlands, Canada, and Thailand have had a lasting impact on my growth. Even now, I continue to integrate the lessons, insights, and connections gained through the teachings, ceremonies, and stories shared by my fellow travellers.

In addition to my formal training, I’ve worked closely with various life coaches and spiritual guides, receiving one-on-one coaching throughout my journey. In the past two years, I’ve immersed myself in the study of quantum mechanics, neuroscience, and the incredible possibilities of TimeWaver technology. I now bring this unique combination of personal experience, spiritual wisdom, and scientific insight into my coaching practice, helping others heal, grow, and renew their lives.

My hobbies & interests

I'm the kind of person who gets lost in a good book, whether it's about the latest findings of  quantum mechanic or the simple joys of living a life filled with meaning. My curiosity doesn't stop there—I've dabbled in some ancient alternative and metaphysical systems such as Human Design, Numerology, and even Tarot card reading.

In a mix of all sorts of things that catch my fancy, I'm just as passionate about getting things done, and keeping up with the latest tech. This website? Yep, it's my handiwork, built from scratch. My years working in Public Relations and as a magazine editor have come in handy. I chose the colour scheme and layout and tweaked and retweaked it, wrote the contents and then rewrote them all over again several times. The only thing I didn’t touch is the logo I designed, I really love it. Don’t be surprised though if this website looks different next time you come to visit.

A few years back, I picked up drawing and oil painting, and it's helped me to become even more mindful about the world we live in and fully appreciate the beauty of nature. Whenever I have the opportunity, I watch the ever changing clouds and ocean waves, and get up close to really look at the petals of a flower, the texture of tree bark, or the tiny wings of a butterfly.

I love to travel and have visited 34 countries. For me, the part I treasure most in my trips is meeting new people and making connections—I have an insatiable curiosity about human beings. The people I’ve met along the way remind me that, although we’re heavily conditioned by the culture and society we live in, at our core, we all want the same things: safety and security, peace of mind, to be seen, and genuine connections.

But… I'm also that person who can happily dive into a nerdy rabbit hole for days on end.😊

Meeting Eckhart Tolle had been on my bucket list since I first started listening to his teachings and reading his book The Power of Now nearly a decade ago. In 2023, that dream came true when I joined the "Teacher of Presence" program by him and his wife Kim. I met these two enlightened beings when attending the kick-off retreat at Lake Louise, Canada—a piece of heaven on earth.

What’s my lasting impression of being in his presence? His lightness. The way he lights up the space around him and within each of us, and the lightness of his being that shines through his incredible sense of humour. He’s truly the embodiment of enlightenment.

Michael Neill was the first to introduce me to the idea that both life and coaching are about the science and the art. The science is the unchanging principle behind every human experience, no matter our psychology, conditioning, or personal history—what’s true about our mind, stress, decision-making, and more. It’s much like gravity, IT just IS. The art is everything else. Once we understand the capital “Truth”, we stand on solid ground, allowing us to express the art of living and coaching with greater skill and ease, becoming better and better over time.

This understanding has shaped both my life and my coaching practice. Over the years, I’ve taken many classes with Michael. Here, I attended his “Supercoach” program, where he taught from his home, and I also saw him speak in London.

In 2021, I was introduced to TimeWaver during a mindfulness retreat designed and led by Chavalit Frederick Tsao (曹慰德) at his Octave Resort in Suzhou. Mr. Tsao, born into immense wealth as the fourth-generation heir of a vast shipping empire, understood early on the challenge that wealth often doesn’t pass beyond the third generation—a common belief he took seriously. Recognizing the need to break this cycle, he began grounding himself in ancient wisdom from a young age.

Today, he is a business titan from Singapore, known not only for his success but for living what he teaches—a fusion of holistic wisdom, Eastern philosophy, and modern quantum theory. His journey has shaped his unique approach to leadership and life, making his teachings profoundly impactful.

For nine days, Mr. Tsao personally guided us through various meditations and mindful activities during the day, and in the evenings, he shared his profound insights on integrative philosophy and Quantum Leadership. Every morning before 6 a.m., he would be waiting to greet us at the auditorium to start the day. It was truly an inspiring experience to witness a mindful billionaire in action and learn from someone who fully embodies the wisdom he shares.

We were also joined by A-Kun (行者項坤)during the retreat, a former monk and incredible mindfulness teacher who’s also now a TikTok sensation.

The forty participants, from all walks of life, experienced profound understanding of themselves through TimeWaver analysis, conducted by the resident psychologists at the resort’s wellness clinic. And that’s where my own journey with TimeWaver began.

I figured, if this is a system trusted by Mr. Tsao, along with the raving reviews from my friends at the retreat, I could trust it too.
